Inspired by old pots used for making marmalade, French designer Pauline Deltour created Roulé, a collection of bowls, trays and coasters in copper and brass. Her otherwise minimal designs are lent a simple elegance by the distinctive “rolled” edge from which the collection takes its name. This Roulé tray is stackable, while the edge makes it easy to grip.

Frenchwoman Pauline Deltour caught the eye of Alessi early in her career, the Italian institution buying her steel-wire paper bin just after she’d finished her studies. Next came a three-year stint at Konstantin Grcic in Munich before she struck out on her own in Paris. Deltour revels in the city’s “disorder”, yet her material-light, minimalist designs speak of someone with a clear, focused mind.
