Patrick, the "Two of Hearts", provides a great explanation and perspective on what geocaching is all about. It's a low tech, high tech, treasure hunt type of adventure the whole family can enjoy.

It’s a winter festival of hot air balloons, ice sculptures, torch parade, kettle popcorn, and even kites. 2008 highlights the Freedom Flight balloon, which includes an interview with pilot Luke Cesnik, plus smoosh boarding, kite flying, to finishing with the torch Moon Glow. 2007 has an interview with the ice sculpture Chris Swarbrick of Ice Occasions, me freezing, and the torch parade. 2006 has a mix of events. Hopefully the weather will coorperate and we’ll get lucky this year to include aerial views. Video’s include Creative Commons music by Klaus Neumaier from ccMixter. Freedom Flight is making sure we don’t forget the 88,000 plus POW and MIA solders around the world. Even though I’ve heard about this before, but the balloon worked as a good reminder. Highlights from the 19th Annual Hot Air Affair in Hudson, Wisconsin. The video shows (1) balloon set up through flight for the Feb. 2nd 2008 morning launch, (2) an interview with Luke Cesnik and flight of the Freedom Flight II balloon (POW-MIA), (3) a look at the Smoosh Board competition, (4) a talk with Mary Martin the Hudson Hot Air Affair Education Program person, (5) a good time for balloons but tough time for kites and interview with Barbara Meyer an American Kitelfliers Association member, and (5) The balloon moon glow and field of fire wrap up. These were some of the events for Saturday Feb. 2, 2008 in Hudson Wis. This is how they celebrate winter in NW Wisconsin. The Freedom Flight website is www.freedomflight.org.
