Parfreys GlenBy Roger Bindl |

Script... Parfrey’s Glen is a narrow rocky ravine located southeast of Baraboo Wisconsin, or about 4 miles east of Devil’s Lake State Park. It’s a beautiful and soothing place to visit during summer or winter. The Glen was named after an Englishman “Robert Parfrey” who acquired the land in 1865. The walls of the glen, in the uppermost part, are nearly 100 feet deep. The sandstone walls are embedded with quartzite pebbles and rocks. A rippling steam provides soothing sounds in the short walk up the glen. Temperatures in the upper parts provide cool relief on hot summer days. Requires Media Player 9 or higher.
