This ViodiTV coverage of the 2009 Cyberspace Symposium was produced by Roger Bindl and brought to you by HEM Productions. This was the first annual symposium and a historic event as it addressed the issues and concerns with a new domain the the threats of attack and warfare from it… Cyberspace.

The symposium was sponsored by U.S. Stratcom and AFCEA International. General Kevin P. Chilton, USAF, Commander of the U.S. Strategic Command provided perspectives that established a theme for this historic event and first annual symposium… changing our culture, addressing our conduct, and increasing our capabilities to understand the new challenges of security and warfare in Cyberspace, to address them, and adapt to this new domain.

This video includes a sampling of the speakers including Gen Kevin Chilton USAF, Kent Schnieder Pres CEO AFCEA, Command Lead Liz Durham-Ruiz, BG John Davis USA, Rob Beckstrom, Scott Charney Corp VP Microsoft, Sami Saydjari Cyber Defense Agency, Lieutenant General Keith Alexander USA National Security Agency, Lt Gen Harry Raduege USAF ret., and Maj Gen Abraham J Turner Stratcom Chief of Staff.

Cyberspace poses new threats to the military, industry, business, and the public. The President of the U.S. recognizes this and has given Stratcom the challenge of addressing it, and the Cyberspace Symposium is a part of the efforts to address it.

I call this spoof on a spoof because it somewhat spoofs the contest concept – in friendly way -  where the objective is to do a spoof on one of three sample commercials. Mine combines girlfriend, party, and tragedy. I combined them all in to one purposely sober thought. Winning video for Shepherd’s Pie recipe at Kraft’s YouTube Cooking Challenge… This was a dual purpose video produced originally for the Wis-Kino 48 Hour Film Kabaret in November. Following the Kino Theme of Change we changed recipe to use Silver Spring Foods – Chipotle Mustard. Chipotle was recommended by Barry Levenson of the Mustard Museum. Kitchen provided by Jim and Diane Spellman’s, and camera assistance from Jim. Steve Sopcak documented, and Jacalyn Schultz was originally 2nd part, but we could only have two people in video.

Cooking Kraft Molten Chocolate Cakes with my favorite part… nibbling on chocolate. A very quick and easy recipe to baked in muffin cups, custard cups, or souffle dishes.

She was drawn to flying during the 20’s barnstorming days, educated to become a pilot, recruited into the WASP by Jacqueline Cochran, became a test pilot in WWII, and was the first woman to fly the B-29.

Update: On July 1, 2009 the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives recognized the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP’s) and passed an act that awarded them with a Congressional Gold Medal. Find additional information at WASP on the Web, or WWII Women Pilots, or Wings Across America…

I found what I was looking for in Toon Boom animation software. The initial learning curve was slightly steep, although in reflection, Flash was also. The key difference with Studio 4 is that it accomplished two tasks that I was struggling with in Flash. One task was to create pivot points so arms and legs moved properly when I bent them at the elbow or knee. Another was to synchronize lips with voice. This review video demonstrates lip syncing and pivot points with a few free hand and traced animation… one of myself saying phonemes. It also shows samples from Toon Booms website on major places using the software.

Documentary on World War II veterans in Albert Lea and a historians collection from that era. Produced for Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS) Greatest Generation Film Project in 2007.
