Highlights from the 8th annual Oktoberfest Bike Ride at Tyranena in Lake Mills, WI. The event is charity ride for Tomorrows Hope with 18, 30, 45, 65-mile routes passing through Jefferson County, Wisconsin. See bikers, tractors, corn, soybeans, donkey's, a bull, hills, trees, fields, and a bitter woman on my 30 loop with 1,499 other bikers. A day at the Capital View Triathlon for my San Jose buddies… the race, the treats, the end, oh my.

This is a great triathlon, a great location, and well run event at Nelson Park, just north of Madison Wisconsin. The park is on the north side of Lake Mendota with a mixture of hilly and wooded trails, and trails through fields returned to their natural state of wild flowers, and various prairie plants.

I guess this is sort of a vanity video, but it does show special highlights from the race… the start, a little of the middle, and the treats in the end – plus a mug shot or two.

This is a review of my first week with barefoot running shoes – the Five Fingers by Vibram. The video includes sites on barefoot running – including the Harvard studies – my observations with putting them on, running on treadmill, running on hard surface, and how the differed from traditional running shoes where I land on heel, to forefoot landing.

We got off to a slow start, but finally decided to go with this work around the yard video with a natural busy bee – Jacalyn. Play video below or at YouTube if you have cellphone video player.

This was My Ride for the Biking to Work Week in Madison, Wisconsin. I primarily produced it for CrankmyChain and the weekly live casts that Dan Kaufman has been doing on Stickam.

I was a bit late, by about 7 hours, as the ride with Mayor Dave Cieslewicz was at 8:30am on a chilly morning, and I had to ride 10 miles to the start location – so I procrastinated. Okay, I slept it.

So I recreated the ride and recorded my own parallel ride. This is my ride from close the start – I took wrong turn, so I’m a block early – along the trail to the 5pm social, and then to home, with highlights along the return (including tunnels under busy streets).
