Video bike ride to St Paul includes views of MN Half Marathon, Battle Creek Indian Mounds Park, the Mississippi River below St Paul, 7th Heaven cafe, and the St Paul Farmers Market. Round trip views from Applewood at Lake Rd and 494, past Battle Creek Indian Mounds Park, under the tracks, along 61, through low lands, along the river to watch Minnesota half marathon (run and roller blade), to 7th Heaven for a BcMuffin, across town to farmers market, returning along the river, through trail in Battle Creek Park, and back to start. This was My Ride for the Biking to Work Week in Madison, Wisconsin. I primarily produced it for CrankmyChain and the weekly live casts that Dan Kaufman has been doing on Stickam.

I was a bit late, by about 7 hours, as the ride with Mayor Dave Cieslewicz was at 8:30am on a chilly morning, and I had to ride 10 miles to the start location – so I procrastinated. Okay, I slept it.

So I recreated the ride and recorded my own parallel ride. This is my ride from close the start – I took wrong turn, so I’m a block early – along the trail to the 5pm social, and then to home, with highlights along the return (including tunnels under busy streets).

We found May Apples uring this May 25, 2009 walk and several other plants of beauty… weeds or not, it spring and visually interesting.

A time lapsed, fast ride, along the Mississippi River below St Paul to Seventh Heaven Cafe for a BeckMuffin, McBecky, or whatever it may be called. The ride covers about 2 miles in 45 seconds, the cafe is on 7th street in St Paul.
